In April, Northeast Ohio innovators, entrepreneurs and members of the tech community will have multiple opportunities to come together with the people and resources that could help them grow their skills, companies and networks. “Get Connected!“—a two-week celebration of diverse entrepreneurs, emerging industries and the communities that support them—runs from Monday, April 7- Friday, April 18, 2014. It features the afternoon-long 2014 Northeast Ohio Entrepreneur Expo, a one-day female entrepreneur summit, a 54-hour entrepreneurial competition and a week-long tech initiative.
Monday, April 7, noon-5:30pm – Cleveland Museum of Art
The Northeast Ohio Entrepreneur Expo includes a showcase of promising young companies, fast-paced, founder-focused Speed Advising Sessions, a high-profile investor panel and a networking reception. Those who lead an early-stage company—or anyone interested in learning more about the region’s fast-growing startup community, seeing some of the innovative technologies being developed here or meeting others in the community—are welcome.
Wednesday, April 9, 8:30am-4:30pm – Cleveland State University, Student Center Ballroom
The goals of the Female Entrepreneur Summit are simple but bold: to educate, inspire and connect female entrepreneurs. Attendees can expect panel discussions, breakout sessions featuring highly regarded Greater Cleveland female business leaders and entrepreneurs, and a luncheon keynote speech by world-renowned swimmer Diana Nyad.
Friday, April 11-Sunday, April 13 – Downtown Cleveland
Cleveland Startup Weekend is a 54-hour competition that unites hackers, hipsters and hustlers in an entrepreneurial battle of creativity and business savvy. Pitches are given. Business models are created. Coding, designing and prototyping happens. A winner is announced—and, most importantly, relationships form. The event seeks to create connections, encourage big thinking and strengthen Northeast Ohio’s startup community–giving anyone and everyone the opportunity to get a taste of the wonderfully chaotic world of entrepreneurship.

Launched by NEOSA (the COSE Technology Network) in 2011, Tech Week is an annual initiative designed to celebrate, support and engage all facets of the local tech industry. Over the course of a dozen events—including a virtual job fair, NASA Space Apps Challenge, pitch night, networking events and the NEOSA Best of Tech Awards—Tech Week provides the catalyst for connections among entrepreneurs, executives, educators and students.
